Haven charges your organization a monthly or annual subscription fee through its own Stripe account — separate from the Stripe Connect account your club uses to collect member dues. These are two entirely independent billing relationships. Your Haven subscription covers access to the platform; member dues go directly to your club. You manage everything about your Haven subscription at Settings → Billing in your admin dashboard.

Monthly vs. annual billing

Haven offers both monthly and annual billing on the Starter and Pro plans.
Billing cycleStarterPro
Monthly$49/month$99/month
Annual$529/year$1,069/year
Annual billing saves you the equivalent of roughly two months compared to paying monthly. You can switch between billing cycles at any time — the change takes effect at your next renewal date.
Annual billing locks in your price and saves around 10% per year. If your club’s budget resets annually, an annual plan often aligns better with how you already manage other subscriptions.

Upgrading or downgrading your plan

To change your plan, go to Settings → Billing and select the plan you want. Upgrades take effect immediately — you’re prorated for the remaining days in your current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. If your club grows beyond your plan’s member limit, Haven will prompt you to upgrade before you can add more members.

Updating your payment method

Your billing card is managed through Stripe’s secure hosted billing portal. From Settings → Billing, click Manage billing to open the portal, where you can:
  • Add or replace a credit or debit card
  • View past invoices and download receipts
  • Update your billing contact email
Changes to your payment method apply immediately to future charges.

What happens when a payment fails

If Haven is unable to charge your card — due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or a bank decline — your account enters a frozen state.
In the frozen state, your admin dashboard becomes read-only. You can still view everything, but you cannot make changes to members, content, events, or settings until billing is resolved.Importantly, your public website stays live, your member portal remains accessible, and Stripe Connect continues processing member dues without interruption. Your club’s operations continue — only your admin editing capability is paused. To unfreeze your account, go to Settings → Billing and update your payment method. Your account is restored immediately once a charge succeeds.
Haven monitors your billing status automatically and transitions your account to frozen when a charge fails. You’ll receive an email notification when this happens with a direct link to update your card.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage billing. When you cancel:
  1. Your account enters a grace period through the end of your current paid billing period.
  2. During the grace period, everything continues to work normally — you retain full admin access.
  3. After the grace period ends, your account moves to a churned state and your site is taken down.
If you change your mind before the grace period ends, you can reactivate your subscription from the billing portal and your account is immediately restored to its previous state.
Cancelling your Haven subscription does not affect your Stripe Connect account or any active member dues subscriptions. Member dues are between your club and your members — Haven’s billing is separate.

Billing FAQ

Haven invoices for your platform subscription are available in Stripe’s hosted billing portal. From Settings → Billing, click Manage billing to access and download past invoices.
Only users with the Owner role can access billing settings. Admin and read-only roles cannot view or modify your Haven subscription.
Subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time and retain access through the end of your paid period. If you have an exceptional circumstance, contact Haven support.
Your data is retained for 30 days after a site is taken down. If you reactivate within that window, everything is restored. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted.
